As part of the environmental monitoring for the London Gateway dredging a metal
frame has been placed off Canvey Point
between Hadleigh Ray and Leigh Middle in order to monitor water quality on the
cockle beds during the dredging operations.
The Obstruction of Canvey Point has been moved to the
location shown on Map below.
It is about 1.2m high, and is fixed to the sea bed, to see a picture of the
obstruction please click on the red text.
The new position is N 51° 31.165', E 0 ° 39.61 '
Currently the obstruction is NOT marked.
