The Special Event Amateur
Radio Station GB2IYC for the Regatta on the 10th July 2010 was another
great success, thanks to everyone that popped in to see us, some that wanted
to ask about Radio in general and others that came for a chat or just watched
, some were surprised to see that we still operate Morse code, we again
worked lots of stations in Europe including France ,Hungary, Germany, Estonia,
Spain, Italy, as well as Russia and Ukraine, including a digital contact
thought the International Space Station just before we begun packing away ,34
contacts in total were made we also managed to get two young Cadets Lucy and
Charlie on the Radio to work a station in Wigmore in Kent hoping to see you
